Colorful thread chasen madder red thread

This is a chasen (tea whisk) made by traditional craftspeople in Nara.
Chasen is a tool used to make matcha.

You can enjoy not only making tea, but whipping warm milk to make matcha au lait and cappuccino.
While it is common for knotting threads to be black, this chasen has a cute, subdued madder red color.

[Care instructions]
・When starting to use a new chasen, pour water into a bowl, lightly shake, and wash again with hot water.
The curl of the tip extends, making it easier to make tea.

*The tip curl is used to protect the tip and to make it look beautiful, so you can use it without any problem even if the curl disappears.

・After use, rinse with water without using a dishwashers or a detergent, dry it thoroughly in a well-ventilated place out of sunlight, and store in a cool, dark place with minimal changes in temperature and humidity.

・Since it is made of bamboo, it may crack due to dryness or sudden changes in temperature.
・If you leave it in a humid place, it will get moldy, so please store it in a cool, well-ventilated place in the shade.
